Senarai Aji

A former convict, who was involved in several scams, finds out he has to atone for his past misdeeds before he can go on his haj in good faith. Together with his good friend and fellow conman, they set out to seek those he had wronged in the past in order to gain redemption. Sudarmaji or Aji, makes a list of those people whom he had wronged and sets out to find them together with his friend, Rahim (or A’im), who does not understand why Aji is doing what he does and questions the point of it. But as he goes through the final items on his list, Aji finds a few twists and stumbles – finding out he has a son, unable to return money to a lady that refuses to forgive him and finding the ultimate sacrifice as requested by his mother.

Hand In Hand 手牵手

Hong Mei Qiang (Bryan Wong) is released from prison and is determined to find the culprit who has framed him. However, this leads to the greatest regrets of his life. Mei Qiang’s mother, Wang Shu Hua ( Lin Mei Jiao) , is on her death bed. She gathers her 3 other children and wants them to look for their father who has been missing for years. Mei Qiang is very determined to fulfil his mother’s wish. Hong Mei Fang ( Jesseca Liu ) is angry with Mei Qiang for disappointing their mother time and again. Despite this, Mei Fang hopes to see her mother leave in peace and agrees to join Mei Qiang. Hong Mei Zhi ( Aloysius Pang ) is initially unmotivated to look for their father, but he later changes his mind as he is touched by Mei Qiang’s perseverance. Hong Mei Ting ( Seraphine Sng ) faces financial crisis and hopes to get her share of inheritance as soon as possible. In order to get the money, she agrees to join in the quest to search for their father. In the process of looking for their father, the siblings faced many setbacks. However, for the sake of their mother, they shoulder on. This drama “Hand in Hand” will bring you on a journey of love and kinship.

Menantu International is a collection of stories centered around Melati (Mel) a social worker, Singaporean and Bryan, a motivational speaker & marriage counselor from the USA, living in Singapore. Mel and Bryan have been married for almost 3 years and since less than 2 years ago, they opened a Marriage Enrichment and Support Centre called Sinar Kasih, specializing in counseling services, marriage preparation courses and programmes for couples of different cultural backgrounds as well as providing general family counseling services. Through their day-to-day activities, they meet with many couples and help them with issues arising from their cross-boundary relationship/marriage. As they help others with their issues, they start to come to terms with issues of their own that they have been sweeping under the carpet.

Real estate agent Du Junning is a high achiever with her firm. She is jubilant when her rival, Mai Dechu, loses out to her yet again. Zhu Jianan, a man who is a jinx to the people around him, saves Junning from a motorcycle attack and falls in love with her. Dechu is unhappy when Junning receives an award for chalking up the best sales record. Junning lies all the time to pander to her clients and colleagues. Tired of doing so, she gives vent to her frustrations at home. She has no choice but to use a fake identity online, to avoid getting sued, and even has to lie to her father Du Zitong. Zitong is a lazy and slipshod person. Junning lies to help preserve her father’s image. Junning moves to Jianan’s neighbourhood. Jianan feels bad when his bad luck rubs off on her. He is glad his only pal, Zheng Danle, seems unaffected by his presence. Danle senses that Jianan has fallen for someone. Jianan’s parents died when he was 10, and he was raised by Xinshan. Jianan is grateful, as all his other relatives shun him. He often walks to the nursing home to visit Xinshan. Dechu is unhappy when Junning poaches his clients. Their superior, Herman, hands an en bloc project to the two of them; the target is the row of terrace houses where Jianan lives. Danle finds out that Jianan’s crush is a real estate agent when Junning turns up for a visit. Junning’s doctor boyfriend, Zhou Yaowen, is a cleanliness freak. She does not tell him the truth about his obsession, for fear of hurting him. Jianan saves Junning from a falling flowerpot, but runs off immediately.

"118" is a long-form 190-episode social dramedy, with ½ hour episodes. The drama aims to portray the many facets of Singaporean life through a light-hearted situational comedy with relatable characters and incidents. The story unfolds in Tiong Bahru – a precinct where the old meets new for a vibrant fusion of culture. Hong Da Ming makes a living in Tiong Bahru. The area holds much significance for him – having grew up, married and worked in Tiong Bahru all his life. He married the younger of the “Ang Mo Kio Sisters” – Liu Mei Mei – who were active in the early years of the getai scene. Liu Mei Mei is a meticulous lady who knows how to plan ahead. With their first earnings, the couple opened a small coffee-shop in Tiong Bahru. Hong Da Ming is a positive and generous man. As his coffee shop and house number are both “118”, the people around him gave him the nickname of “118” (or ???), much to his delight. Together with his wife, he makes a living by running the coffee-shop, and are well-known in Tiong Bahru. Whenever someone is in need, they would always seek out 118 for help. His family lives in a 3-room flat, which was built in pre-war years, above the coffee shop. He has 4 children – 2 of his own, and 2 of his deceased buddy. The children are named Shun Feng, Shun Shui, Jin Zhi and Yu Ye (????,????)- Shun Shui and Jin Zhi are his own children, while Shun Feng and Yu Ye are the children of his deceased buddy. Having 6 people living in a 3-room flat is cramped-up enough, yet he also rents out a room to “Ah Niang”, a middle-aged man whose original name is Li Wei Liang. Ah Niang studied fashion design in France, but circumstances led him to simply run a stall in 118’s coffee-shop, selling dumplings with the recipe that his mother left for him. Ah Niang was not the only addition to the cramped flat. Later, Liu Mei Mei’s elder sister – Liu Jie Jie – and her family also came to live with 118 when her husband’s business failed. 118’s own younger sister and her daughter also came to live with him “temporarily” when her husband disappeared mysteriously. Kind-hearted by nature, 118 felt that they must have come to him because they were at their wit’s end. He would rather make room for them by having his own sons sleep in the living room, than to chase them away heartlessly. As such, the story unfolds with this myriad of personalities living under the same roof and hanging around the 118 coffee-shop, where many dramatic yet comedic events took place… “118” presents the positive side of a Singaporean – passionate, practical, caring, resilient, faithful, tolerant and forward-looking – while also touching on the lesser side of our personalities. Through the dramatic play of events, we are able to see ourselves in the many characters, who are in fact a mirror of the good and bad sides of all of us.
